The E.R.A Mini Turbo was conceived as a 1980’s replacement for the Mini Cooper S. A car with all the key characteristics of the Cooper – speed, handling, excitement - but one which would introduce into the concept the refinement and comfort lacking in the original, but so necessary for modern motoring. E.R.A set out to engineer a car to the highest automotive standards. This car is a un molested, and with only 2,493 original miles it is one of the rarest minis around.
The boost itself was limited to 7psi which restricted torque to 92lbf.ft, the end result being 94bhp at 6200rpm, with the ERA Mini Turbo sprinting to 60mph in 7.5 seconds and topping out at 110mph.
Condition: The car runs and drives well, it was serviced by Heritage Garage and has been stored in a climate controlled storage facility since its purchase. The car has a door dent from closing with hip, and a few other small easily fixable issues.
Originality: This car remains exactly as it was originally ordered with the bumper bars and the blacked out theme. This was confirmed by the ERA Club as well as its authenticity. 1 of only 5 Black ERA Minis are reported to be in existence.
